Cookie Policy
The browser storage used to make TypesetOS work and the optional analytics choice you control.
Effective 3 September 2026
Necessary service cookies
TypesetOS uses a secure, HTTP-only session cookie named tos_session. It keeps a browser session associated with its document-processing activity and can persist for up to 30 days. The service cannot operate normally without it.
Authentication
Clerk provides sign-in and account-management features. It may use cookies and browser storage needed to authenticate you and maintain your account session. You can manage your account through the available Clerk profile settings.
Optional analytics
TypesetOS can use Google Analytics to measure website routes and product-funnel milestones, but the Google Analytics tag does not load until you choose “Allow analytics”. Declining does not affect the formatting service.
If you allow analytics, TypesetOS may permit analytics storage used by Google Analytics. Our implementation keeps advertising storage, advertising user data, Google signals, and advertising personalization disabled. The events we send do not contain manuscript text, filenames, TypesetOS document IDs, account IDs, Paddle transaction IDs, presigned file links, or payment credentials.
Your analytics preference is saved in browser local storage under typesetos_analytics_consent so the site can remember your choice. You can reopen the choice at any time through “Analytics settings” in the footer.
Infrastructure
Cloudflare may process ordinary request, performance, and security metadata as part of delivering and protecting the site. TypesetOS does not sell personal information for advertising purposes.
Payments
When Paddle checkout is available, Paddle may use its own cookies or similar technologies to process payment, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. Paddle’s own notices apply to those technologies.
Your browser controls
You can block or delete cookies and browser storage through your browser settings. Blocking necessary or authentication storage may prevent sign-in, document access, or other core features from working. Optional analytics can instead be declined without affecting core TypesetOS features. For questions, contact [email protected].
